PHILADELPHIA, PA – A motorcyclist was hospitalized with serious injuries following an accident involving a car at a Cobbs Creek intersection Friday, according to Fox 29.
Police said the 27-year-old man was riding south on Hazel Avenue shortly before noon when he tried to make a U-turn at 57th Street. The motorcycle collided with a Volkswagen Jetta, which then slammed into a Ford Fusion parked on the side of the street.
The motorcycle rider was thrown from his bike, and was transported to Penn Presbyterian Hospital. The victim, whose identity has not yet been released. was listed in critical but stable condition. The driver of the Volkswagen left the scene on foot, police said. The car was confiscated as the investigation into the crash continues.
