FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA – Police are investigating a crash that killed a bicyclist in Bucks County early Thursday morning, WPVI reports.
The incident on Route 1 at Stony Hill Road in Falls Township was reported at about 1:30 a.m. The bicyclist was struck by a vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
The driver of the vehicle involved did not remain at the scene, authorities said.
The crash prompted the closure of a stretch of Route 1 for several hours overnight as investigations proceeded. Lanes were reopened to traffic at about 5 a.m.
